How to design stickers for Silhouette
Get sticker and lettering files ready for Silhouette cutters.
Silhouette Studio handles vinyl lettering and print-and-cut stickers well when registration marks and cutlines are intentional.
Import cleanly
- SVG for cut paths; DXF where needed for older workflows
- Release compound paths only when you mean to
- Check scale after import — Studio units vs source units
Print-and-cut
Enable registration marks, print on a supported printer, then scan marks before cutting. Keep artwork inside the safe print area. Use opaque white strategies carefully on clear stocks.
Vinyl lettering in Studio
Weld script fonts so cut lines do not slice through joins. Mirror for HTV. Weed carefully on dense script. For shop sales, vinyl lettering software on the storefront captures the text; Studio finishes the cut.
